In September, we busted myths which create obstacles in the way of prospective turf clients. In October, we looked at solving typical residential problems with our turf. In November, we looked at solving typical commercial problems with our product. For the next 2 weeks, we will be evaluating the cost of synthetic turf. In today’s post, we will answer the question: isn’t a natural solution always cheaper?

As with most things, the answer is: it depends on who you ask. In the short-term, most natural solutions are less expensive than our synthetic turf. This would include sod, pinestraw, mulch, and rocks. Pavers, bushes, and/or trees may be, and often are, more expensive. Your satisfaction with the price depends on how long you want the solution to last.

Most enter adult life with the habit of creating short-term solutions to problems. Usually, circumstances force us to live this way. As we progress in our careers, however, we gain the means to buy long-term solutions. At 22, we will keep using the same push-mower our parents gave us when we moved out. At 32, we grow tired of fixing it and buy a new one. The difference is that, at 22, we didn’t have the wisdom or means to buy it. After 10 years of difficulty, we now know and, most importantly, can afford to do something about it.

It is the same for our turf. We understand that many residential and commercial clients want to keep limping by. That’s okay. Sometimes you’re forced to. But if we can get them to see that our turf is an investment with a proven return, then they can’t afford to not purchase it.
